The Manny O. Group is a Cebu-based holding company founded by Manuel H. Osmeña. A prominent player in the Philippine tourism industry. The group is also in the airport and airline services, wine, and hotel business.

About Manny O.

Chairman and Founder of the Manny O. Group, an Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year finalist in 2013, he is the eldest of 11 siblings. Raised to be in business since he was a teenager, he struck out on his own at 14 by starting a bakery business.

A Business Management major from the University of San Carlos Cebu, he was in the furniture manufacturing and export business for many years – founded Woodwares International in 1974 and Philippine Baskets Corporation in 1979.

His involvement in the tourism industry began in the early 90s when he co-founded Waterfront Philippines with a Malaysian businessman. He shortly divested from this due to a conflict with his spiritual convictions vis-a-vis the casino/gaming industry.

He then embarked on a hotel project with the Hilton Group PLC UK to develop the Hilton Cebu Resort & Spa. After six years, Mövenpick Hotel and Resorts Management AG was elected as the property’s new hotel operator in 2011.

Rory Jon Q. Sepulveda

President and COO of SkyLogistics Philippines, Inc. and SkyKitchen Philippines, Inc.

Admitted to the Philippine Bar in 1990. Vice President for Legal Affairs of the group since 2004. Partner at Corder Bael Acuña and Sepulveda Law Offices. Despite strong labor opposition, part of the team that successfully transitioned airport ground handling and inflight catering services of Philippine Airline (PAL) during the last quarter of 2011.

Harold Rainfroy

General Manager of the Mövenpick Hotel Mactan Island Cebu

A seasoned international hotelier whose impressive career in service and hospitality management spans Europe, the Middle East and Asia for almost 30 years, Mr. Rainfroy has a wealth of experience in various hospitality disciplines.

His first foray in the hotel industry saw him in different executive roles and senior positions in Food and Beverage, tasked to forge revenue and operations of luxury and international brand hotels. Within that period, he was able to develop and open more than 15 dining and entertainment concepts, from fine dining to night club, for prestigious hotel brands in Dubai, United Arab Emirates and Seoul, Korea.

Mövenpick Hotel Mactan Island Cebu is his first assignment in the Philippines. While his profession has taken him across continents, the Filipino culture is not new to him as he is married to a Filipina and has been visiting the country since 1983. Likewise, his experience in working with diverse backgrounds and cultures makes him a natural cross-cultural communicator and leader who can adapt to new environments and pull everyone together to achieve business results.

Jose Antonio D. Garcia

General Manager of Cebu Pacific Catering Services Inc. since 2001.

Previously with MacroAsia-Eurest, Philippine Airlines and Saudi Catering for 17 years, collectively. Together with the team, provided catering services to the flights of the Heads of State during the 12th Asean Summit of January 2007, and was awarded by Philippine Airlines as the Best Airline Caterer in the Asian region for the period of April 2005 to March 2006.

Analyn V. Castro

Deputy General Manager of SkyLogistics Philippines, Inc.

Previously an accountant for the International Rice Research Institute, Planters Bank and Philippine Airlines. Specialises in Customer Relations. Major player in the Philippine Airlines to SkyLogistics transition of 2011, played a vital role in implementation of systems and controls for effective provision of services to Philippine Airlines.

Mariza A. De Luzuriaga

General Manager of SkyKitchen Philippines, Inc.

Previously with Philippine Airlines as Catering Sales and Service Manager, Senior Training and Development Specialist and Integrated Ticket Representative. Designed and conducted training programs and modules. Planned and implemented turnover of inflight catering from Philippine Airlines to SkyKitchen. Spearheaded the creation of the Catering Operations Manual and conceptualised the Service Philosophy and Guidelines of Philippine Airlines.
